How to Link Worker Checks to Your SA WWCC (South Australia)
In South Australia, Working with Children Checks (WWCC) are managed by the DHS Screening Unit. Organisations (like Worker Checks or your employer/agency) link to a person’s WWCC by registering an interest via the DHS Organisation Portal. Once linked, the Screening Unit will notify the organisation if your clearance status changes. (South Australian Government)
Why this mattersSA WWCCs are continuously monitored by DHS; if a person’s status changes, the individual and all linked organisations are notified. (South Australian Government)
Linking ensures Worker Checks (or your employer) receives these status-change notifications for compliance. (South Australian Government)
Have your WWCC details ready – full name, date of birth, WWCC number (if known).
Provide these details to Worker Checks / your employer so they can “Register Interest” and link to your existing WWCC. (In SA, the linking step is done by the organisation in the DHS Organisation Portal.) (resources.saca.pulselive.com)
If DHS requests it, confirm any contact or identity details they send you.
Tip: If you don’t yet have a WWCC, Worker Checks (or your employer) can start the application for you through the Organisation Portal and track progress. (South Australian Government)
If a worker leaves, we remove the link (ROI) in the Organisation Portal so we no longer receive updates. (South Australian Government)
Workers and organisations must notify DHS of certain changes (e.g., new charges, contact details). (South Australian Government)
✅ Worker Checks portal
Use your Worker Checks business portal to store WWCC numbers, verification dates, renewal due dates, and proof of linkage so nothing slips through the cracks.
